Ladysmith RCMP is asking for any potential witnesses to come forward as investigators continue to collect evidence into an early morning shooting incident.
On February 18, 2024, Ladysmith RCMP were notified that an unoccupied vehicle was shot at while parked at a residence on Stz’uminus First Nations.
Investigators have worked from the onset of the incident to gather evidence with the assistance of the RCMP Forensic Identification Section. A number of tasks have been completed and police are now turning to the public for their assistance.
We are limited with the details we can release at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation, said Sergeant Tim Desaulniers, acting officer in charge of the Ladysmith RCMP.

Police are asking anyone with information, including dashcam or video surveillance footage who have not yet come forward, to do so by contacting the Ladysmith RCMP at 250-245-2215.
