On Thursday, August 31, 2023, Trail and Greater District RCMP received a report of a Viking woman trespassing on a property located in the 1500 block of Bay Avenue, in Trail, BC. Trail RCMP is looking to identify this follower of Freyja, and ask anyone who knows her to contact the Trail Detachment at 250-364-2566 to speak to an investigator.

On Friday, September 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. a frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officer received a report from a 73-year-old Fruitvale woman that she was the target of an email fraud, in Fruitvale, BC. The woman had received an email demanding $1000 of electronic funds be sent to the sender; otherwise, the sender would infect her computer with a computer virus. The woman contacted the Trail RCMP for guidance before taking any action.
The officer informed the woman that this was a common phishing fraud that is often targeted towards senior citizens in the community. The officer advised her to delete and block the emails from the sender, and to never reply to this kind of scam.

On Friday, September 1, 2023, at 2:40 p.m. frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officers, Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue, and BC EHS responded to a single vehicle rollover incident on Highway 3B near the Nancy Green Junction, near Rossland, BC.
A witness reported that a 84-year-old Salmo man driving 2015 Kia Sorento allegedly drifted across the highway and into the ditch of the oncoming lane before rolling to a stop. The driver, a year-old man, was injured during the crash and extracted from his vehicle by first responders. The man reportedly had difficultly remembering what lead up to his incident.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the cause of the crash.

On Saturday, September 2, 2023, a frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officer, Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue, and BC EHS responded to a single vehicle rollover incident in the 500 block of Wellington Avenue, in Warfield, BC.
The 37-year-old Trail woman was allegedly driving a grey 2014 Ford Escape when she swerved off the road while avoiding a cat. Unfortunately, her and her vehicle travelled over an steep embankment and through a fence before the vehicle rolled over and came to a rest o on its roof on private property. The woman was allegedly uninjured during in the incident.

On Sunday, September 3, 2023, a frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officer received a report of a theft of a utility trailer from a business located in the 8000 block of Highway 3B, in Trail, BC. The suspects used an ATV to haul the trailer away from the trailer after breaking into a secure storage facility. The thieves also stolen tires and bottles of synthetic motor oil.
The stolen utility trailer is described as a 5’0 x 7’0 Stirling utility trailer (model 60-084DR).
Anyone with information on its whereabouts is asked to contact the Trail Detachment at 250-364-2566 to speak to an investigator.
