File # 2023-17208
On August 24, at approximately 5:08 p.m., the West Shore RCMP received a report of a Black 2012 Mazda that attempted to pass a vehicle over a double solid line and was taking wide sweeping turns nearly striking oncoming traffic on Sooke Rd near Kangaroo Rd in Metchosin.
Though West Shore RCMP only received one official report of this vehicle, it appears as though there were several comments shared via social media regarding the erratic driving behaviour. We wish to inform the public that police did stop this driver and the vehicle was towed, said Cpl. Nancy Saggar West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer.
