The Campbell River RCMP is proud to highlight the ongoing success and vital community impact of its Citizens on Patrol (COP) program. This volunteer-based initiative plays a crucial role in enhancing public safety by acting as extra eyes and ears for police officers, helping to deter crime and promote a sense of security throughout the community. Citizens on Patrol members conduct regular vehicle patrols, report suspicious activity, and support special events, all while fostering stronger relationships between residents and law enforcement.
As the program continues to grow, the Campbell River RCMP is calling on dedicated community members to get involved. Volunteering with COP offers residents a meaningful way to contribute to the safety and well-being of their neighborhoods. No policing experience is necessary—just a commitment to making a positive difference.
Participants in the Citizens on Patrol program receive training, ongoing support, and the opportunity to work alongside like-minded individuals who care deeply about their community. Whether assisting with traffic watch, reporting vandalism, Child Find programs, or supporting community events, COP members make a real difference.

COP members will be on hand at the Campbell River Spring Home Show at Strathcona Gardens from May 23rd through 25th, 2025 to answer questions and speak to potential volunteers. Be sure to stop by their display and have a visit with these amazing people to learn more about the program.
Those interested in joining or learning more are encouraged to contact the Campbell River RCMP detachment. Together, we can keep Campbell River safe and connected.
The Campbell River RCMP extends its sincere thanks to current volunteers and looks forward to welcoming new members to this rewarding and impactful program.
