North Vancouver

2024-11-20 11:06 PST

File # 24-19636

North Vancouver RCMP is providing an update on the sexual assault investigations that occurred in the Lower Lonsdale area.

Following two appeals for public assistance on October 2 and November 19 and the release of newly obtained video of a suspect in an effort to further the investigation, an arrest was made on November 19, 2024.

Last night at approximately 7:00 p.m., the suspect depicted in the video included in the November 19 media release turned himself in to the North Vancouver RCMP. He’s currently being held in custody pending the outcome of the investigation.

Police would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in sharing the video, said Constable Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer for the North Vancouver RCMP.

As this is an active and ongoing investigation, police are unable to share further information.
