Police update to Amber Manthorne news conference

Port Alberni RCMP clarify details revealed in yesterdays news conference about the search for Amber Manthorne

In a press release published yesterday, "Police seek public assistance as search for Amber Manthorne continues", RCMP indicated that a tote and suitcase had never been recovered.

Today, Port Alberni RCMP want to clarify that the suitcase was initially recovered by police where as the dark bin / tote with grey lid and Amber Manthorne's cell phone, remain outstanding.

Anyone with any information related to the whereabouts of Amber Manthorne, or anyone who may have found a bin or cell phone like those pictured, are asked to contact police. Or, remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
