File # 2024-11849
The Nanaimo RCMP is in possession of a number of bikes that are believed to be stolen (see attached). The bikes were located by officers with the RCMP Bike Patrol Unit on Wednesday April 17, 2024 stashed in a woody area in the vicinity of Jingle Pot Road and Third St. Along with the recovered bikes, several handheld tools belonging to Nanaimo Search and Rescue (SAR) were also located.
These items were traced to a previously reported break and enter to the SAR building. Other items, including an E-bike and a small quantity of tools were determined to be from other break and enters and have been returned to their respective owners.
The bikes that were seized are relatively new and are of considerable value. If you have information on the ownership of any of these bikes, please call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
