Richmond RCMP RSU continues to place a special emphasis on educating the public about motorcycle safety and the dangers of impaired and erratic driving among motorcycle operators. This campaign, which began in May during Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, continues to highlight the importance of safe riding practices. Richmond RCMP collaborates closely with ICBC and B.C. Highway patrol to promote road safety for all users, especially as summer weather increases motorcycle traffic.
As part of a summer-long initiative, Richmond RCMP continues to partner with ICBC in an impaired driving campaign. The campaign emphasizes the critical risks associated with impaired driving, urging everyone to plan ahead and arrange safe transportation when consuming alcohol or drugs. For more details, please refer to our previous release on Summer Impaired Driving.
Our proactive efforts in July, especially concerning high-risk driving behaviours and motorcycle safety, demonstrate our ongoing commitment to making Richmond’s roads safer for everyone. We urge all road users to adhere to traffic laws, drive responsibly, and support our efforts to protect our community.
Richmond RCMP encourages all residents and road users in Richmond to stay informed through our monthly reports and to participate actively in road safety initiatives.
