Single vehicle collision; passenger unaccounted for

On June 14, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., emergency crews responded to a single vehicle collision with four occupants that had driven off road and into the Squamish River. One of the passengers was unaccounted for. The three passengers were able to get to safety.

RCMP, the fire department, along with Search and Rescue personnel, all attempted to locate both the vehicle and unaccounted for passenger; However, as of June 15, have been unable to locate either.

Search and Rescue crews are continuing to make efforts to locate the individual.
