On October 28, 2023, the Princeton RCMP responded to the report of a deceased male located in a rural area near Princeton, BC. The circumstances were suspicious in nature and the investigation was assumed by the BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit.
Subsequent investigation has revealed that the deceased male, Joshua James Bronk, of the Princeton area, was the victim of foul play.
Investigators believe that Mr. Bronk’s death was an isolated event and that no public threat exists said Staff Sergeant Jason Smart, NCO i/c of the BC RCMP Southeast District MCU.

Investigators are appealing to the public that if they have dash camera, trail camera or any other video, from the area between the Brown Bridge and the community of Coalmont for the time period of October 20, 2023, at 7 a.m., to October 28, 2023, at noon, or if anyone had communication or dealings with Joshua Bronk during this time frame, are asked to call the BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit Tip Line at 1-877-987-8477.
