Charges laid following attempted sexual assault

On Friday, April 25, 2025, shortly before 4:00 am, Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of an attempted sexual assault.

It was reported that a man attempted, forcibly, to get a female in his truck. The victim was able to get away from the man and called police. The victim was able to identify the suspect, who was arrested later that same day.

BC Prosecution services have approved charges of kidnapping, and invite to sexual touching against David Dennis, 56 years old. He was later released on conditions pending a future court date.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information at this time. More details may be released as they become available.
