Motor Vehicle Collission at 144 Street and 88 Avenue

Surrey RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in regards to a motor vehicle collision that occurred in the 14400 block of 88th Avenue in Surrey.

On November 1, 2024, at approximately 7:59 pm, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a pickup truck in the 8800 block of 144 Street. The truck was making a left-hand turn, westbound onto 88 Avenue when it struck the pedestrian resulting in significant injuries.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified at this time, has been transported to a local area hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the pickup truck is cooperating with police. The investigation is in the very early stages and police are working to determine what factors may have led to this unfortunate circumstance.
