On December 16, 2024, the West Shore RCMP Community and Indigenous Policing Unit and West Shore Restorative Justice program partnered with View Royal Quality Foods to help spread some cheer to seniors in need this holiday season.

West Shore RCMP and West Shore Restorative Justice Program purchased 52 cases of soup for Langford-Colwood Embrace, a local program that provides meals and support to low income seniors in the West Shore. The Restorative Justice Program helps divert first-time offenders away from the Criminal Justice Program by way of Community Forums. The offender repairs the harm they have done via combination of community service hours and restitution payments. This year’s payments went to this charitable initiative.

View Royal Quality Foods stepped up and assisted with cost sharing to ensure that the West Shore donation went even further then originally planned.
