File # 2025-300

The Clinton RCMP are seeking witnesses after a serious, multi-vehicle collision on Sunday afternoon.

On June 29, 2025, at 12:04 p.m., the Clinton RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle on Highway 97 at Clinton Cemetery Road. The motorcycle operator, 66-year-old man, suffered serious life-altering injuries and was airlifted to hospital for treatment. A second motorcyclist, although associated, was uninvolved in the crash and no other injuries were reported. The injured man remains in stable condition.

Causal factors for the crash are not yet known and the investigation is ongoing.

The highway was shut down in both directions while police conducted the investigation, said Staff Sergeant Kris Clark, of the BC RCMP. Police are now looking to identify anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dash camera footage.

Anyone with any information who may witnessed the crash or any preceding driving behaviours, or may have dash camera footage are asked to contact the Clinton RCMP at 250-459-2221
