On Friday, June 27, 2025 at 11:30 pm, a man was travelling east on the shoulder of along Highway 16 operating an electric scooter.
The operator, an adult man, heard a vehicle approach from behind, used a flash light in order to alert the driver of his presence on the side of the highway however the man was struck by the vehicle.
He was struck from behind and later located, unconscious by passersby between Main Street and Koeneman Road.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or may have dash camera footage are asked to contact the McBride RCMP at 250-569-2255.
