The Fort St. John RCMP executed several search warrants were guns and suspected drugs were seized.
On December 24, 2023 members executed a search warrant on a residence in relation to a theft. During the search they located a handgun and drugs. A second search warrant was obtained and the handgun found to be loaded. Police also seized suspected fentanyl and cocaine.
On December 26, 2023 another search warrant was conducted in relation to a break and enter and theft of firearms investigation. A shotgun, with the serial number filed off, was located and seized.
The matters are still under investigation and several people could face charges when the matters are forwarded to BC Prosecution Service in the near future.
