Firearm Seizure

Quesnel RCMP executed a search warrant for firearms.

On June 6, 2025 at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Quesnel RCMP with the assistance of North District Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant for firearms in the 1800 block of West Fraser Road. The road was shut down for a brief period of time to ensure public safety while police executed the warrant. The road has since been reopened. 

Police seized approximately 8 firearms during the execution of the search warrant. A 50-year-old man has been arrested and currently being held to appear before the courts.

The investigation is still ongoing and no further information is available for release at this time. Further information may be released as it becomes available.

"I want to thank those affected by the road closure for their patience while police dealt with this incident," said Sgt. Clay Kronebusch.
