On July 24, West Shore RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a woman riding a bicycle who appeared to be intoxicated and swerving all over the road on Goldstream Ave in Langford.
Police located the 31-year-old female on Goldstream Ave near Peatt Rd. She had fallen off her bike and was displaying signs of overdose. West Shore frontline officers reacted quickly and delivered 2 doses of Naloxone and continued to monitor her while awaiting BC Emergency Health Services to attend. The woman was taken to hospital by Emergency Health Services to receive ongoing care.
We want to thank the complainant for calling police right away. The immediate medical attention the frontline officers were able to provide undoubtedly saved this woman’s life, said Cpl. Nancy Saggar, West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer.
