Update: Man identified in ongoing sexual assault investigation in Surrey

Surrey RCMP is notifying the public the person of interest in an ongoing sexual assault investigation, has been identified.

On July 27, 2024 the individual was identified and spoken to by investigators. Surrey RCMP has removed the video as the investigation continues.

Surrey RCMP thanks the public and media for their assistance.

Background:

On July 20, 2024, at 3:15 am, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a stranger sexual assault in the 14100-block of 91 Avenue. The victim reported that she was woken up by a man groping her in her residence. The victim screamed for help and the suspect fled.
