File # 2024-4162

On May 24, 2024, while conducting a by-law investigation at a homeless camp in a wooded area near the 4300 block of Lakelse Ave, Terrace RCMP located and seized a quantity of weapons, suspected drugs, and drug paraphernalia. A number of people on scene were arrested while items were being seized. This file remains open for further investigation.

Display of weapons, drugs and drug paraphernelia layed out on table

The RCMP would like to remind the public to be aware of their surroundings when out hiking or walking. While not all tents or homeless camps contain such items, it doesn’t hurt to keep a safe distance, be aware, or hike with a buddy.
