Serious Collision on 152nd Street leads to road closures

Surrey RCMP is advising the public that 152nd Street will be closed in both directions between 68th Avenue and 72nd Avenue due to a serious collision.

On March 31st, 2024, at 2:20 am, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision resulting in serious, possibly life-threatening injuries to one of the drivers. The occupants of one of the vehicles have fled on foot. A hydro pole has also been heavily damaged and the public is being asked to avoid the area.

There are currently no power outages as a result of the damaged hydro pole.

Due to serious nature of the collision, 152nd Street is expected to be shut down well into the morning and may impact commuters. Police kindly request that the public plan alternate routes.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera footage from the area at the time of the collision is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-44678.
