On the evening of Monday, December 30, 2024 Anahim Lake RCMP were called to a residence near Nimpo Lake for a report of a fight.
Upon police arrival, a 26-year-old local male resident was found in medical distress suffering from stab wounds.
EHS and police performed life saving measures, however the man succumbed to his injuries. A 22-year-old Nimpo Lake resident, known to the victim, was arrested without incident and is currently in custody. Police believe this to be targeted and there is no risk to the public.
The BC RCMP North District Major Crime Unit has conduct of the investigation and are asking anyone with information call the Anahim Lake RCMP at (250) 742-3211.
