File # 2025-1382

Sooke RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Langford and arrested one individual in relation to criminal harassment and indecent communications stemming from 4 separate investigations involving 4 victims.

Police initiated an investigation after receiving a report of historic harassment via phone calls and over social media, including indecent communications from an individual over a period of several years. Through the course of the investigation, police identified other female victims. A warrant for the arrest of the suspect was then obtained.

On June 4, 2025, Sooke RCMP were assisted by the Island District RCMP Emergency Response Team as they executed a search warrant at a residence on Humpback Rd in Langford, BC. At that time, police arrested 30-year-old Cole Petrie at the residence without incident.

Investigators are seeking any other potential victims who may have been targeted by this individual, says Corporal Alex Bérubé, spokesperson for the BC RCMP.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sooke RCMP at 250-642-5241.
