Cram-the-Cruiser event a success in the Cowichan Valley

North Cowichan/Duncan

2024-12-13 10:25 PST

On December 8, 2024, officers of the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP detachment held their annual Cram-a-Cruiser event. North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP hosted the event to collect toys for less fortunate families in the Cowichan Valley in partnership with the Cowichan Valley Basket Society.

Every year the Basket Society hosts a Christmas Dinner for less fortunate families to give parents a chance to select gifts from the donated toys to put under the Christmas tree for their children. This year the Cowichan Valley came out in full force, donating toys, food, and cash. Officers were able to almost completely fill the detachments prisoner van full of donated toys, and collected over $1,400 in cash donations.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP would like to thank Canadian Tire, Save-On-Foods, Sun FM, and of course the Cowichan Valley for making this event a success.
