Burnaby RCMP is inviting members of the public to an upcoming car and booster seat safety clinic happening on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Bonsor Recreation Complex.
For a child’s car seat or booster seat to be effective it must be installed and used correctly, but parents and caregivers often remark that they can be complicated and intimidating to set up and adjust.
Several Certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Educators, including Burnaby RCMP officers and BCAA staff, will be at the event to work one-on-one with attendees to inspect their current set-up and assist with adjustments and education.
The goal of the appointment is to ensure sure car and booster seats are properly installed and adjusted for maximum safety, while also educating attendees so they are comfortable making their own adjustments in the future and as their child grows.
While attendees are encouraged to pre-book appointments online, some walk-in appointments will also be available. Appointments are approximately one hour long.
