Burnaby RCMP is seeking witnesses and dash-cam video of a pedestrian hit and run that has left the victim with non-life-threatening injuries.
On March 8, 2024, at approximately 6:45 p.m., the victim was crossing Marine Drive in the 5400-block (by the Hindu Temple), when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle reportedly stopped and initially assisted the victim, but then left the scene without exchanging information.
Witnesses described the vehicle as a white SUV, but did not obtain a licence plate number. The driver was described as an Asian man, approximately 35 years old.
Investigators have learned there were several people in the area that witnessed the incident and some even took photos and video, however, no one has come forward.

If you have dash-cam video on Marine Drive, between Patterson Avenue and Gilley Avenue, or any of the north/south avenues in the area, such as Patterson, Sussex, Nelson, Royal Oak or Gilley, between 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., on Friday, March 8, 2024, or if you have video or photos of the incident, please contact Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999.
