Langley RCMP investigate shots fired

Langley RCMP is currently on scene in the Willoughby Way and 200 Street area in Langley for a report of shots being fired.

On July 7, 2025 at approximately 5:32 p.m, Langley RCMP responded to a report of shots fired near Meadows Edge Park in Langley. Frontline officers attended the scene and located evidence consistent with a shooting. A 48-year-old man has been transported to a local area hospital for further assessment.

The investigation is still in its early stages and Police are working to determine the possible motive for the shooting, said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. Motorists and other road users can expect road closures in the area as we continue our investigation.

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the area of Willoughby Way and 200 Street between 5:15 pm and 5:45 pm., is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file 25-21567.
