Fatal Collision on Hwy 97

A single vehicle collision claimed the life of a 43-year-old man.

On January 4, 2024 at 8:00 p.m., the Quesnel RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 97 near Lavally Rd. near Marguerite, south of Quesnel. An SUV had been travelling north bound on the highway when it crossed the centre line into the south bound ditch, causing it to roll over. A 43-year-old man, who was the only occupant of the vehicle was found deceased.

Traffic was temporarily disrupted while police dealt with the collision, said Sgt. Clay Kronebusch.
