Richmond RCMP seeking witnesses to alleged robbery in the Broadmoor area.

On June 1, 2024 shortly after 10:45 p.m. Richmond RCMP received a report of an alleged robbery at a plaza in the 10000 block of No 3 Rd.

According to the victim he was leaving the plaza and walking towards a bus stop on Ryan Rd. when he was allegedly attacked by up to eight masked people. The victim alleges he was struck in the head with a weapon and his backpack was stolen.

The victim said two of the suspects ran toward a business located in the plaza while the rest left in a white possible SUV or hatchback.

Fortunately, the victim did not suffer any significant physical injuries but was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

Richmond RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) has conduct of the investigation.
Richmond RCMP GIS is asking anyone who was in the area of No 3 Rd from Ryan Rd to Williams Rd between 10:40 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. who may have witnessed or have dash cam footage of this incident to contact Richmond RCMP.

Richmond RCMP subsequently recovered the victim’s backpack in the area south of a school in the 8200 block of General Currie Rd. Richmond RCMP GIS is asking anyone in this area who may have observed a white Hyundai Sedan in the area between 10:50 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. to contact Richmond RCMP.
