Police investigate motor vehicle collision with pedestrians

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are investigating after two pedestrians reported being struck by a vehicle on Lewis Street.

On January 11, 2025 shortly after 9:00 pm, North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP officers were called to a report of a pedestrian hit and run on Lewis Street near the intersection of York Road.

Frontline officers and members of the Community Safety Unit responded immediately along with BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS). Two victims received care on scene for minor injuries.

The driver of a red jeep contacted Police immediately and is cooperating with investigators as they work to determine the cause of this incident and collect all available evidence. This investigation is ongoing.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are asking that any further witnesses with more information, or those who may have dash camera video, please contact the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522.
