Langley RCMP currently on scene for a serious Police incident

Langley RCMP is currently on scene in the 4400 block of 236 Street for a report of shots being fired.

Several officers are in the area and additional Police resources are being called in. This is an active event and we are asking everyone in the area to adhere to police directions, shelter in place within the immediate vicinity or avoid the area for their own safety, said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. The investigation is still in its early stages and more information will be made available at a later time.

The area around 4400 block of 236 Street will remain closed while the Langley RCMP continue their investigation. Motorists are being requested to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
