Coquitlam RCMP’s Cops for Cancer Riders invite you to come out and support officers at our first Cuffed for a Cure event on June 19, 2025. This fun, family friendly event will support our ongoing efforts through Cops for Cancer in raising funds for childhood cancer research and Camp Goodtimes.
There are many ways you can join the fun and support the Cuffed for a Cure event:
cuffed
cuff
locked up
jail,
mugshot
Nothing big gets solved by one person or one organization. To take on cancer, it takes every one of us. It takes a community, said Corporal Neil Roemer. We are so excited to host the first, Cuffed for a Cure event. We will do as much as we can to help raise funds for childhood cancer research.

Cops for Cancer began in 1997 with one police officer who wanted to make a difference. Today, it has grown into an incredible movement across the country that is changing lives of children with cancer. Cops for Cancer-Tour de Coast is an annual eight-day tour along the Coast of BC, which begins on September 12, 2025. The Tour de Coast is an incredible event where local police agencies and emergency service personnel cycle along the BC Coast to support children and families affected by cancer.
The funds raised through this event help the Canadian Cancer Society drive groundbreaking childhood cancer research and send 600 kids each year to Camp Goodtimes—a local, medically supervised recreation experience for children and teens with cancer and their families.
