Assault in Boitanio Park

On April 19, 2025, at 8:15 a.m., the Williams Lake RCMP received a report of an assault at Boitanio Park. An altercation allegedly occurred between a 60-year-old man and a 37-year-old man, both from Williams Lake. The older man suffered minor injuries in the alleged assault. The 37-year-old was arrested and released for court, pending charge approval.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released.

Williams Lake RCMP have responded to the public disorder in Boitanio park with proactive foot patrols. During these enforcement patrols, Williams Lake RCMP have issued verbal warnings and liquor control and licensing act violation tickets to individuals found contravening the act. 

Williams Lake RCMP requests if the public observes any suspicious activity to report to the local detachment at 250-392-6211.
