West Shore

This year to help celebrate Pink Shirt Day and cultivate kindness, officers from West Shore RCMP Community & Indigenous Policing Unit organized a Colouring Contest in all of the Elementary Schools falling within the West Shore.
Hundreds of entries to the contest were received from some amazing young artists in the West Shore and over 100 prizes including art supplies were awarded to contest participants.
Kindness, compassion and understanding are gifts that everyone can give each other. One of the amazing things about Pink Shirt Day is that it was started by Canadian kids, almost 20 years ago and has continued to grow, said Cpl. Cole Brewer.
