Fatal accident involving a cyclist

 On April 17, 2025 just after 3 PM, Grand Forks RCMP responded to a report of a cyclist being struck in the intersection of Highway 3 (Central Ave) and Boundary Drive. The cyclist received life threatening injuries on scene and was quickly assisted by many bystanders performing CPR. The cyclist was then transported to local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. If you witnessed this incident, and have not already spoken with RCMP, please contact the Grand Forks RCMP Detachment at 250 442 8288. We are also asking anyone in the area at this time, with dash cam footage to please view your footage and call the RCMP if you have captured anything of note.
