On June 27, 2023, Nootka Sound RCMP received a report of a stolen boat and trailer which were stored in the 500 block of Industrial Park Pl in Gold River. No suspects were identified at the time.
On August 22, 2023, new information surfaced about the possible location of the stolen boat and trailer. A search warrant was obtained to search a property in the 7000 block of Osborne Bay Rd in Duncan.
