West Kelowna, Southeast District, Major Crimes Unit

2025-05-06 14:39 PDT

File # 2025-8361

On May 3, 2025, West Kelowna RCMP officers attended a local residence to conduct a well-being check.

Upon entering the home, officers located a deceased female, identified as 57-year-old Cindy Walsh. Her death is being treated as suspicious.

As a result, the Southeast District Major Crime Unit (SED MCU) has assumed conduct of the investigation.

We’re asking anyone who knew Cindy Walsh or may have seen her during the month of April to contact the Southeast District Major Crime Unit, said S/Sgt. Jason Smart, NCO i/c of SED MCU. Even something seemingly minor could assist investigators in determining what led to her death.

A photograph of the victim is being included to assist in identifying any witnesses who may have seen her in recent weeks.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit Information Line at 1-877-987-8477.
