On Friday March 7, 2025 Williams Lake RCMP are conducting proactive patrols in the city when they observe a vehicle associated to drug trafficking in the area.

Police observed the vehicle pull into the parking lot of a local fast food establishment when they see another vehicle pull into the same parking lot.

Both drivers interact with each other and from the actions of both drivers’ police simultaneously stop both vehicles at different locations.

Police detained both drivers for a drug investigation. One driver was later released on scene without process while the driver and passenger in the other vehicle were arrested for drug possession.

A search incidental to the arrest resulted in police locating meth/crack pipes, suspected fentanyl, cocaine, crystal meth, and GHB, along with items commonly seen in drug trafficking and a sum of Canadian currency. Both were later released pending further investigation.
