RCMP drug investigation leads to significant seizure in Campbell River

On November 20, 2024 the Campbell River Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the Community Response Unit and Major Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on a room in the 1300 block of Shoppers Row.

In total, over 900 grams of Cocaine, over 200 grams of Fentanyl, 260 Hydromorphone pills (Dilaudid) including evidence suggesting that they were diverted safe supply, and over $26, 000 in cash was located and seized.

In addition to the seized materials, there was also evidence of crack cocaine being made in the room and Fentanyl being dyed and diluted.

A 34 year old man was arrested and released with a first court appearance in February. Drug trafficking charges are anticipated being recommended for both the male and a 32 year old woman.
