Click here for large series of dashcam photos showing an impaired driver swerving into oncoming traffic
Take a look at these photos of an impaired driver swerving into oncoming traffic. Which one of these could have led to a deadly crash? All of them. Which one actually led to a deadly crash? Amazingly, none of them, thanks largely to a witness that immediately reported this driver to police, helping to take this impaired driver off the road and keeping others safe.
The erratic movements of this vehicle caught the eye of another driver on the afternoon of January 25, along Sylvester Road in Hatzic. The witness called police, who were able to locate the man nearby. The driver failed tests on two roadside screening devices, and he received a 90-day driving prohibition and a 30-day vehicle impound.
Some impaired drivers are hard to spot, however others are much more obvious, says Corporal Harrison Mohr with Mission RCMP. If you see a vehicle being driven dangerously, don’t hesitate, call 911. You may save someone’s life.

Mission RCMP want to thank the witness who reported this particular driver, as well as the other witnesses that report possible impaired drivers everyday. Their concern for the well-being of everyone else on the road makes a real difference in helping to keep our streets and communities safe.
