BCHP investigate fatal Highway 99 collision

On June 12, 2024, at approximately 6:15 AM, BC Highway Patrol received a report of a serious collision on Highway 99 in the northbound lanes near the George Massey Tunnel in Delta. A motorcyclist ran into a car and the motorcyclist fell onto the roadway. The motorcyclist was critically injured by the rear wheels of a semi-truck and tragically has passed away.

BC Highway Patrol is looking to speak with the driver of the semi-truck who did not remain on scene and may not know what happened.

BC Highway Patrol is asking for any witnesses, including the driver or company related to the semi-truck, who may have a vehicle description, licence plate, or dashcam footage of the collision or pre-collision to contact BC Highway Patrol at 604-526-9744 and refer to file 2024-932.
