Fort St John

On October 23, 2024 at 6:15pm, the Fort St John RCMP were called to assist Taylor Fire Department with a single vehicle collision with one occupant trapped in the vehicle, on Big Bam Road in the District of Taylor, BC.
Taylor Fire Department and the BC Ambulance Service were on scene when Fort St John RCMP arrived.
Two occupants were located trapped inside a brown Jeep Liberty that had rolled down a steep embankment and was stopped by a tree.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the Fort St John Hospital with injuries.
The passenger of the vehicle was declared deceased on scene.
"The Fort St John RCMP has reason to believe alcohol may have been a factor and continue to investigate," said Constable Chad NEUSTAETER, Media Relations Officer for the Fort St John RCMP. "Our hearts go out to the family of the deceased during this difficult time."
