RCMP are investigating a threat the prompted the precautionary closure of a high school in Enderby yesterday.

On Wednesday, May 14th, 2025, shortly after 1 p.m., the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP received a report of an unspecified threat directed at a secondary school in Enderby. Frontline officers attended the school to assist staff and ensure the safety both the students and staff. As a precautionary measure, police and school administration arranged an early dismissal for the day and students were moved to an alternate location for pickup.

A complete and thorough investigation has been conducted and at this point, no credible evidence has been found that would substantiate the threat, states Constable Chris Terleski, Media Relations Officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP. Any potential risk to the safety of our schools is treated with the highest of priority and we want to thank everyone for their assistance and co-operation.
