Police investigating shooting

Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit is investigating after a person with a gunshot wound was dropped off at a local hospital.

On September 27, 2023, at approximately 9:30 a.m. Surrey RCMP was advised of a male with a gunshot wound at a local hospital. The injured party, a 25-year-old man who is well known to police sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are working to ascertain details as to what happened as well as to confirm the location of where the shooting occurred. A possible scene was identified; however, it has not been confirmed as further investigation is required.
