Suspicious fires in the area of Hasler flats

On Sunday, May 4, 20025, shortly after 11:00 pm, Chetwynd RCMP were advised of numerous fires in the Pine Pass area.

RCMP made patrols in the area and located a fire in the area of Willow Flats. A fire crew was on scene dealing with the fire.

Evidence of another fire, that had been extinguished, was located 5 km south near Fisher Creek. This fire was approximately 30 meters from the roadway.

These fires appear to have been intentionally set and evidence has been seized for forensic examination. All fires have been extinguished.

If you were in the area of Willow Flats and Fischer Creek, and have dashcam footage, you are asked to call the police.
