File # 2024-5447
The Sunshine Coast RCMP are asking for the public's assistance relating to an indecent act that occurred near a trail head off of Shaw Road in Gibsons.
On Tuesday, July 23rd, at approximately 6:00 pm, two 12 year old girls were walking on the trail to the west of Shaw Road at O'Shea Road that enters the woods near Christenson Village. The girls observed a male who pulled down his pants and exposed himself to them. This man was described as being in his 40's, Caucasian, very slim build, tanned skin, short brown hair, wearing sunglasses and a grey tracksuit. The girls left the area immediately. There may have been an unrelated man walking his dog into the trail as the girls exited, who may have seen the suspicious man in the area.
If anyone observed anything suspicious or has home security cameras or dash cam that would have captured anyone walking in that area, they are asked to contact the RCMP at 604-885-2266.
