Two people injured in collision on Highway 97

Police responded to a head on collision on Highway 97 near Cinema.

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at approximately 6:13 a.m., the Quesnel RCMP responded to a report of a head on collision involving two pickup trucks on Highway 97 near Cinema. Two men have been transported to hospital with serious injuries. The Highway was closed in both directions.

Road conditions are poor due to the recent snow fall, said Sgt. Clay Kronebusch. We want to remind people to use caution and slow down when driving in winter road condition.
