Kamloops City

2024-10-10 15:24 PDT

File # 2024-33693

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is looking for information related to a break and enter at an apartment, that occurred while someone was home.

On Oct. 9, 2024, around 9 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to an address on the 1100-block of Hugh Allan Drive, after its resident heard a noise, went to investigate, and discovered their front door was open. A person described as a man with darker skin and black hair was seen running away from the residence. He was wearing jeans and a light-coloured shirt.

The suspect may have gained entry through a window and was last seen running through a narrow concrete balcony leading to a parking lot, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. The incident is believed to have occurred about 30 to 45 minutes before police were called.

Anyone who has information that may be related to this incident is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-33693.
