Coquitlam RCMP are asking for witnesses and video following a youth stabbing which occurred on Monday, October 21, 2024.
Coquitlam RCMP frontline officers responded to a stabbing report shortly after 2:45 p.m. at Terry Fox Park located at 1269 Riverside Drive in Port Coquitlam. One youth victim was transported to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) for non-life-threatening injuries.
Three youth suspects dressed in all black are believed to have fled in a black sedan.
The park was heavily populated at the time and we are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact our investigators, said Media Relations Officer, Corporal Alexa Hodgins. We are asking anyone who may have cellphone or dash-cam video and were in the area of Terry Fox Park near Riverside Drive and Po Avenue between 2:15 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to contact the Coquitlam RCMP and quote file number 2024-27958.
