On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, just before 6:00 a.m., Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a four-vehicle incident on Highway 97 North, near the Davie East Forest Service Road.
When police officers arrived, they discovered that a semi-trailer truck in the southbound lane crossed the centre line and collided with a second semi-trailer truck. A pickup truck also traveling southbound was hit by the northbound semi-trailer truck and ended up in the ditch. Another pickup truck, traveling northbound, was hit by debris from the incident.

The two semi-trailer trucks and the first pickup truck were all towed from the scene and the highway was limited to single lane alternating traffic for several hours as investigators collected data and dealt with the damaged vehicles, states Cpl.
